Huawei Announced Pocket 2, The First Foldable Smartphone With 4 Cameras.
Huawei presents its new sleek clamshell foldable smartphone, the ‘Pocket 2’ with prominent improvements, showcasing an erratic waterdrop hinge, for a flawless fold with no crevices. The specialty of this device that separates it from other foldable devices is that it is the first foldable smartphone featuring four cameras on its cover.
According to Huawei’s provided information, a 6.94-inch foldable LPTO OLED display with FllHD+ resolution has been placed inside the phone and there’s a 1.15-inch smart circular screen along the camera island in a dual-circle symmetric design.
As all know, Huawei stopped unveiling their chipsets a while ago, so there’s no proper information regarding its processor but we can guess that Kirin 9000S will be empowering Pocket 2, as it has been used in Huawei’s flagship lineup’s latest model Mate 60 Pro+.
Huawei has launched its Pocket 2 with three storage capacity options 512GB, 256GB, and 1TB with just one RAM choice of 12GB, however, there’s another Pocket 2 known as Pocket 2 ART with an impressive and fancy design with 16GB RAM and 1TB storage capacity.
Onto the back, there’s a circular camera island with a 50MP shooter camera with OIS and an aperture of f/1.6 in front and an ultra-wide-angular camera with a 12MP sensor and an aperture of f/2.2 and a 3x telephoto lens in front of 8MP imager with aperture of f/2.4, offers OIS. And the last is a 2MP UV sensor.
A bigger battery is a necessity for any foldable device, so Huawei has installed a 4,520 mAh battery so the user can get impressive longevity with no interruptions, thus, the wired rating of 66W charging with the addition of 40W of wireless charging. And this device runs on Harmony OS straight out of the box.
Huawei has scheduled the first sale of Pocket 2 today (February 22nd), with the color options of Tahitian Gray, Purple, Black, and Rococo white, while the ART edition of this device named ‘Dream Blue’ is up for sale at the price of CNY 10,999.
